An eagle of importance

Had a dull and wet afternoon so thought I would like to show you this eagle. It is on a column at Norman Cross just outside peterborough. It is at the site of a napoleonic POW camp and was erected by the entente cordiale society to remember the 1770 souls that died there. It is not the original as that was stolen however funds were raised to have this one placed there.
