Going ape on Wyle Cop

Today I went to Shrewsbury to meet a friend for coffee.

While there I did a bit of shopping and saw the fibreglass life size animals on Wyle Cop renamed Wild Cop. They're there while the street is closed to traffic due to roadworks.

The animals are there as part of the  Darwin Festival (he was born in the town). It wasn't a good idea trying to get a photo in half term as there were associated activities including having a photo of a child on an animal. I had to wait quite a while to get a shot without someone sitting on it!
