The wires in one of the vineyards near us seemed to catch a lot of sun. It was certainly the brightest thing that I saw today.
We'd have to adapt P.G. Wodehouse's line of "It is never difficult to distinguish between a Scotsman with a grievance and a ray of sunshine" to something like ""It is never difficult to distinguish between a programmer with a really badly written manual and a ray of sunshine."
It didn't help that I was working with a tool called Eclipse, which I've never, ever found "intuitive". And I've never had the chance to work with someone who knows how it works and is prepared to explain.
And that's enough about that.
I was delighted to skip away from work & head for a blissful half an hour in the sunshine. Replenish the vitamin D and hope for a better tomorrow.
The photo in this report made me laugh though. The fans of Eintracht Frankfurt were protesting at the introduction of Monday night football in Germany. And quite rightly too - how do you get back from an away game in Hamburg and you live in München? Anyway some of the Frankfurt fans made a banner that reads "Fussball am Montag ist wie Urlaub in Offenbach" which translates to "Football on Monday is like a holiday in Offenbach". Perhaps a Scottish equivalent would be a banner at Tynecastle that said "Football on Monday is like a holiday in Leith".
You can reverse that if you're a Hibs fan, I don't want to cause any offence.
