Elisabo 'looking good and nice'
Today I was clearly especially crap at French. I had another lesson of all the pupils asking me whatever questions they liked, like the good old days of Teaching Week 1, one of which was 'please can you speak a few words of French for us?' I replied with (in French) 'er... I can try, but I'm not great at French' which was met with "awwwwwwww! trop mignonne avec son accent anglais!" :\ How it is possible to be patronised by 12-year-olds I do not know. And then later when in the post office when I went to post off various forms to Warwick, the man at the till (clearly despairing of my French) said "we can speak in English if you prefer. But I do charge for that, so I'll be keeping your change." Jokester.
Then in the evening I took the train to Paris to see Elisabo to drink DIY kir as we'd planned last week. We went for a cocktail in a bar first as it was 'happy hour' (just sounds cheesy when French people say it) including a tiramisu cocktail from the 'looking good and nice' section of the menu (..okay) which was amazing! (though probably just cream)
