Life through the lens...

Autumn reflections

A real dilemma today. What to blip. One of those days you take enough good shots to last a week. (Will try to put some on my Blipfolio)
Anyhow this is what I decided upon. So I hope you like it.

We started our walk, with Pudsey Ramblers , today in glorious sunshine.
What a joy to be out.
Started at Saltaire and walked along the Leeds Liverpool canal, which is where I took the photo.
You can see part of our group walking along the tow path.(At first I was going to delete them from the shot, but rather liked it with them in it)
I thought the reflections in the water were beautiful.

We walked to Baildon via Hole Hill and Baildon Bank, and then back to Saltaire.
(about 6/7 miles in all, although it didn't seem that far)
Lots of familes out walking, and the playground in Roberts Park was very busy when we got back.
Such a glorious Autumn day, and so warm too. All coats etc put into the rucksack, and I was quite warm enough with a T shirt.

When we got back to the river there was a heron stood on a rock just under the weir. I took several photos, but none were quite clear enough.
The gentleman stood next to me said he had seen fish jumping there last week, and just as he said this one jumped up. The heron missed it although it was only about a foot away. I saw three more jump. Not sure if they were trout, although I would like to think they may have been salmon!!
Anyhow it was a great end to a lovely day out.

Hope you have all had a good day too.
