Shelob's Lair

Started building this far too late and it took far too long, I was still at it at 2AM. I tried to time lapse and stop motion some of the process but again without an assistant I got it all wrong. It has gollum (whatsitgotinitspocketses) and also hobbitses along with an enormous articulated spider that even has a hook and thread with a dial so that you can drop it from a height with a quick(ish) twist. I got three of the one ring in my pack as well so I feel very special. I was somewhat offended by the 8-14 on the packet, as if you should stop playing with lego when you are 14. The sales assistant who sold me this in John Lewis, another lonely bloke with a middle aged spread was a as excited by not only the Lord of the Rings franchise but told me there was an Xmas release of The Hobbit based lego (and if the Dragon is in there I'm having it) and I started mentioning that the Teenage Mutant Turtles were on there way before an old woman buying card making kits moved us on.
