Award

Big night at the school as my youngest's class shared their reflections on their week long trip to an outdoor centre last September,  to parents and to the group that will go next year. My youngest sat on stage, performed in a sketch, spoke into the microphone three times, acted some stuff out and sang along to the songs as well as doing the necessary actions. He's learning disabled and autistic so this was a massive thing for him and us. It was great to see him being confident enough to participate in front of an audience and also great to see how the school managed to accommodate his needs and build that into the performance. They all got an award certificate that represented what they felt they had achieved. This blip is his one. The bit about being away from home is the biggie for us anyway !
