Gold Rush!

Team Canada Goose was nearly rendered useless with excitement when they got to the venue this morning and saw that, as predicted, temperatures had dropped in the night and the stadium rink was covered with ice.   The excitement quickly turned to focused determination as they began their ice dancing practice.  Here you see Chloe's Individual gold medal-winning performance.  Her arabesque was perfection as she began her layback spin.  Even the judges held their breath.

Cecil followed along with a brilliant fast footwork sequence landing a one-footed double axle to finish which guaranteed him a gold medal as well.  (See Extras)

The much-loved pair was only slightly out of sequence in the Paso Doble but had achieved such high marks overall that no damage was done to their score or reputation as the reigning couple of the Ice Dancing competition at these PNW Alternative Olympics.  (See Extras)

Much like the NJ AOG Team Squirrel, the PNW Team Squirrel finally showed up squabbling over some nut-related incident.  It remains to be seen if they can get their act together in time for tomorrow's competition.

Team Crow sulked in a tree for some reason known only to them.
