Shepherd's Delight

[A back blip for yesterday]

We've had a lovely weekend with some old friends from university days visiting. The children have enjoyed the extra company and it's been great to catch up. I was in the middle of cooking a rather splendid feast for our guests last night (slow-roasted pork, dauphinoise potatoes, red cabbage with apples - one of my finest efforts yet, if I do say so myself!) when the doorbell went. I answered the door to be confronted by a pizza delivery man, who started unloading his bag. He looked confused when I told him we hadn't ordered anything, then he checked our door number and realised he should have been calling next door. He was very apologetic. I was not sorry for the interruption, though, as it meant I was able to witness this incredible sky, which would otherwise have passed me by.
