The Day Before

A day off but no lie in again, having packed the night before it was up, coffee, toast, Valentines Card and chocolate for Clare before out to pick up the hire car.
Home bags in and off a three hour burst before stopping at a very fancy services stop in Gloucester then a four hour run to the hotel in Harrogate where we met up with Samantha and Mark.
Our hotel was built in the grounds of the hotel Gary was staying in so we hopped over to his place for a couple of beers before heading out for something to eat.
Joshua had recommended a burger restaurant called ‘5 Guys’, the beer might have been expensive but there was more food than the five of us could eat and it was delicious.
Back to the hotel for a relatively early night ready for a momentous day tomorrow.
As I dropped off to a much needed sleep I thought that this was the last day of having my ‘boy’, tomorrow he will no longer be a Junior Soldier but Sapper Stevens of the Royal Engineers.
