Grandad Fox

I rather like this statue, although I don't think it looks remotely like a fox. Artist Pete McKee and sculptor Anthony Bennett created this piece which stands at the entrance to Fox Valley, a new development which includes a shopping mall - much nicer than most, as it is outdoors but with covered walkways and an eclectic mixture of shops - on the site of a former steelworks. He is holding a paragon framed umbrella - first developed by the famous industrialist Samuel Fox close to the Fox Valley site.
We drove up there today to do a little bit of shopping, coming home via a scenic route which takes us across farm and moorland. Very pleasant.
