Reeds

I’ve been trying to make a decent photograph of the reeds at the edge of the river across the road from the house for months. I’m never really pleased with the results but here they are today. A sunny day with a balmy 11 degrees so the 2018 reeds will start to grow before we know where we are and these lovely russet tones will be replaced by fresh green growth.

I’ve been in Edinburgh today and after a bit of tidying up met a good and very longstanding friend for lunch. Not only that but I managed to get a couple of early autumn holidays nudged along so that feels good.
