Day at the Zoo

This morning I went to the Melbourne Zoo with a girlfriend. I haven’t been for a few years and it was great to see the new enclosures and improvements that have been made. This tiger walked down to the water for a long drink and was easy to see with Superzoom. The Lemurs are always a delight and especially up close as they wander free amongst the visitors. The butterfly house is a photography paradise but I didn’t manage a photo of the Ulysses butterfly. - including the magnificent Orangutan who spent ages pulling out a huge bunch of undergrowth then carried it up to a platform where his lady was waiting.
