Winter in late Summer!

As I type this Christchurch has just been put into a State of Emergency.

We have Cyclone Gita approaching , due to be at her worst tonight.
It’s been raining steadily all day, but spookily there has been not a breath of wind.
They say gale force winds are coming.
We have all been warned to clear drains to prevent flooding, tie down anything that could cause damage in high winds , eg trampolines!
It is a lot cooler too.

So I’ve made a big pot of soup, have torches all ready as I’m sure we will lose electricity.

I hope those that are in the flood prone areas of the city are going to be ok.
