A chapter closed

Today a chapter closed, and a new one opened. I had the results of my post-treatment bone marrow biopsy. It confirmed I am in remission from leukaemia. I was confident of that result, the regular blood tests have been showing an improving trend, and the recent ultrasound screen of my spleen had shown that it had contracted back into the normal size range. And more than that, I have been feeling so much better than I have done for a very long time. But it was so good to hear confirmation from the consultant, and to see him beaming happily for the first time in 20 or so consultations.

Now we need some good news for our friends S and C.
