OSTRICH

There is an ostrich farm in Wuelmersen. We drove to the Wasserschloss there in the afternoon. We walked around the deserted castle and walked along the brook Holzape till we reached the bridge. Beyond the bridge all paths were covered with snow and ice. Not an inviting sight, and we thought that we had walked already enough. We saw an amazing amount of fallen trees. Must have been frightening to be there when it stormed. Snowdrops between the trees along the path.
To enjoy a nice view we sat too long on a very cold stone bench. The sun still above the hill at the other side of the valley.
