Safe and Dry

When I came home from dinner last night,  I saw that a female squirrel had been hit in front of my house. All I could think of was the cute little female squirrel  (and her brother) that befriended me over a year ago and hoped that this was not her. 

When I looked out front this afternoon, I was delighted to see her camping out in the front right wheel well of my car (presumably to keep out of the rain).  So I loaded my pockets with peanuts and ran out to get her photo.  After taking this shot, I put a couple of shelled peanuts down by my shoe and she jumped down, scooped them up, and went back to the wheel well to have her snack...  

It was a good thing I had extra peanuts because her brother showed up moments later, ran up my pants leg and waited for his share...
