Eye-eye

Ellie, Mike and Adventure Boy made it down from Cambridge to join us for a trip on the London Eye. Enjoyed by all the family and Steph the birthday girl even coped with a wobble at the top. She's so much better at coping with her fears and phobias now she's a mum.
A great lunch at Locale behind County Hall and then a walk across Westminster Bridge and up Whitehall past Downing Street to Trafalagar Square. Annoying that the square was cordoned off for Chinese New Year. Not the experience I had hoped for for the nippers. Gorgeous Boy had some critical words about the government but agrees that the Queen's house is loads better than the Prime Minister's.
Finally tubed it back to the flat for birthday cake before Em and James headed back to Somerset.
A lovely day.
