The old Control Tower at Sydney Airport

I've seen this building plenty of times, and at a glance, guessed it was a now an unused Control Tower, although I only learned today - after deciding to blip this photo - that it was the fourth Control Tower built for the airport. Evidently it had numerous design problems, one being that it wasn't built tall enough to give the traffic controllers proper views over the airport. Hmmmm, that would be a slight problem for an airport.
In my humble opinion, it also looks a fair distance away from the airport...ahh well, for whatever reason, it's no longer in use.
Surprisingly though, it was used from 1972 to 1996.
The main runway is around 300-400 meters off to the right of the shot.
