Sweetheart biscuits

Mr hazelh and I opened the tin of biscuits that my Finnish visitor from Sweden gave us back at the end of November. They are very pretty ginger love hearts - quite appropriate for this week.

Today we have been preparing for more visitors. Eve arrived from Hexham by train this afternoon. She is staying with us for the week as she undertakes work experience with a friend of ours at the University of Edinburgh. My PhD student Iris, who is now based in Slovenia, arrives tomorrow and will stay here until next Sunday. Eve plays Catan, so I am hoping that the board will come out at some point...
