Autumn days

Saturday morning means only one thing. A wander around the Farmers' Market followed by a pint in the Blue Blazer with friends. Whilst it was a little damp on the ground, it definitely felt autumnal on our walk along the canal. Leaves were dropping, berries were bright, and the air had that damp autumn smell.

The Farmers' Market was busier than usual but that was nothing compared to Princes Street. I needed to pick up a couple of things so we ventured out. Never again on a Saturday! We then wandered back through the Gardens so The Boy could register for The Men's Health Survival of the Fittest that he's running tomorrow. It's a 10K run with 12 obstacles that use the urban environment as their inspiration and backdrop. I will of course be leaving the house with him at 8:20am so I can get some photos despite then having a long afternoon of rehearsals.

In the evening I made venison stew and The Boy helped me build the base of my headdress for Samhuinn. The rest of it will be taken to the canal to work on in quiet moments (and on the train). Didn't get any packing done so tomorrow will be frantic.
