Back with a Beer

So there I was, sitting at the riverside café, hot and sweaty from walking far and fast in the humid heat of Malacca, with a cool beer and a nice view. Then I remembered something said by actor Johnny Depp that went something like this: "I want to be an old-fashioned guy, an old man with a beer belly sitting on a porch, looking at the lake or the sea or something."

The words might no be totally correct, but the mood was. We are so being bombed with messages of being healthy and fit (nothing wrong with being that by the way) and are so concerned with trying to follow this advice that we sometimes forget to be just us and relax.

l also remembered that it was a while since I last posted something on this lovely site. So I made the resolution to be back, and to be just me. I start with the photo of the view when I had this thought. I will probably be doing a lot of back blipping, because even though I did not post my camera continued clicking away.
