Plains Railway Museum

Went to the Plains Railway Museum with my father in law, to have a look on their open day, this engine was on the tracks taking people for rides. I love steam engines they seem so alive with the smoke and the hiss of steam....great stuff. it would be nice to see them on the mainlines instead of being tucked away out of site. I would give my eye teeth to ride one from Christchurch to Dunedin.
