Lake Michigan

....from the shore in Evanston, Illinois. We attended a nice 25th birthday party for a friend's retail jewelry business, in downtown Evanston. She is a talented jewelry designer and I love every chance to view her work. Stopping to take in a view of the lake helped round out the afternoon. The colors in the water and sky reminded me of all the gemstones I had just seen. Just up the shore a bit, big football game...Northwestern lost at home to Nebraska.
