Locks and keys, swings and roundabouts

Wanted to get to an Ash Wednesday service today but my only options were the early 8am masses, and getting home at 10.30 last night meant this wasn't really an option. So I walked to work to do overtime instead, but knowing that I'll be in a church building tomorrow nonetheless for a funeral.

A year away from church means this Lent I'm reevaluating where I am at, and sometimes something seems to click, and then sometimes it's like I'm a dog chasing it's own tail. Grateful for many theologically minded friends to ask for recommended reading however.
