The Pencil

Dad was determined that we were going out today! Thankfully they had both slept late (something I think is fairly common now) not getting up till after 9.
Dad was in good form but I couldn't tell how well is actually is.
After breakfast (at 11!) we decided to go to Largs. Dad dropped Mom, Jodie and myself off at the marina and we walked into town.
I discovered once I was in the car that I'd left my phone charging in the house. I haven't done anything particularly with my photography lately but I feel quite naked when I find myself without something to take some photos.
I used moms phone to take this shot of the pencil. It was such a beautiful day and I couldn't really see the screen but it turned out OK. (But the accidental selfie before it is very funny!!)
Jodie had a great time running around and got very muddy so I took her down for a paddle in the sea to get cleaned. She was very happy with that too.
It was soooo nice to be out walking. It wasn't even too cold ... not with my marshmallow on anyway!
We met up with dad in 'The Bagel Basket' for lunch. Then we went for a drive round the coast. Stopping in at Costa in Gourock for an afternoon coffee.
By the time we started back home the sun was starting to set and the sky and water were just beautiful.
Once home Jodie and I played out the back for a bit, then dinner, then watched a bit of the Olympics. :)
What a lovely day but I was ready to sit and do nothing this evening. I suppose that was the busiest i have been in the last fortnight. It's good to be feeling better! :)
Now to bed with my little hot water bottle! ;)
