The New Field before rain stopped play. It has been declared ‘terreno buono’- good earth, by those who know.

This my last night in the house for a while. It has been interesting, challenging and at times exhausting. I’ve ridden out the long watches of the early hours and risen with builders and earth movers, and architects and engineers.

I was really touched today when looking to get a wheelbarrow tyre filled with ‘liquido antiforatora’ to stop constant punctures that I ran into Sandu, one of the builders, in civvies who greeted me like a long lost brother.
