The Saturday trip to the local town was really enjoyable today. Found a really nice book with some different recipes in and bought a box set of Call the Midwife. I enjoyed the soya coffee but I'd really like to see more shops with a wider rangeof vegan alternatives, Oaty Milk makes an amazing latte.

The dogs walks have not been as cold today and they've enjoyed trotting round the block. All I can hear now is the stereo crunching of dog bones reverberating across the wooden floor . Periodically the monster gives up to check on big dog, who stops chewing and holds her bone firmly between her paws. The monster takes this hint and sits back, tail wagging then tries to bury herself under the dog bed, eventually giving up and returning to her own bone, placing her back towards big dog, who resumes chewing. Comic entertainment, free of charge, on a nightly basis.
