Kaleidoscope

Had a fantastic day in London; 5am start and just home at 11.30pm - tired but still full of the buzz. The purpose of my visit was to have Tea at the Ritz with five great friends from a place I worked in for a short time some 10 years ago - The big city was packed today as 'Austerity protesters marched on London'. The train station, the tube and the roads were teeming with marchers from all over the Country - the noise of thousands of people shouting out the cause, the bands, the hooters, the whistles etc. was deafening but once inside The Ritz the atmosphere was of peace, splendour and elegance - totally the opposite of what was going on outside.

After tea we did a bit of shopping (window mainly!!) walked, walked and walked some more. I love it and especially seeing all my old haunts and where I used to work in the '60's.
