Martin Mere

I had a trip to Martin Mere today and very lovely it was too. The weather was good with lots of sun, lots of whoopers and so on and so on. It's a great place to visit when you just want lots of things to take photos of. I don't often spend a lot of time in the captive bit, however...
These Asian otters are captive but that does not mean that they are easy to get a photo of. I don't think I've ever seen them as they were today. Enjoying the sun and the water, swimming and posing - they are usually bounding about very quickly! Lovely to watch :) 

The extra is a pic I just love - I never tire of watching whooper swans.
