Barn Owl Sculpture

I've been waiting to take a photo of this sculpture at Trentham gardens for ages. When the sky is too bright, or the sun is out it's impossible. I needed a grey day, which isn't the usual type of lighting I think about for photography. The sculpture sits on a high plinth in the gardens near the entrance. It's worth getting up close, as at the base there are a couple of tiny mice.

A long standing tradition is Pancake Day for us, and a good friend of ours. So our evening was spent catching up on news and enjoying good food and wine, especially the pancakes....
