Moeraki Village Beach

Last night Sarah and Sebastian came down to stay the weekend.  Sebastian was keen to have a holiday in the campervan so on the spur of the moment we decided to head away.

It was after 8 before we left home so we only got as for as St Andrews and decided to spend the night there.  I'd never stopped there before but it's a lovely wee camp that's worth returning to.

This morning we headed for Oamaru and the cheese factory.  We had no plans from there so after buying copious amounts of cheese and sharing a tasting platter for breakfast we hung around Oamaru for a while then headed south just because the van was pointing in that direction.  We ended up at Moeraki where we went to Fleur's for a late lunch.  It seemed as good a place as any to stop so we settled into a site at the camp and then went for a walk.  

You can actually walk from here all the way around to Moeraki Rocks when the tide is out, but it wasn't.  So we didn't get that far.
