No to Hate Crime Vigil: Norwich
Our Sing with Pride choir sang at the Vigil this evening in Chapelfield Gardens. This was one of many No to Hate Crime events that were being held in locations throughout the country from 7.30-8pm. At 8pm, a two-minute silence was held broken by the choir singing.
The park was lit by candles in jars, many of which had been painted in rainbow colours by a choir member and the placing of the candles was coordinated by another member of the choir. The paper lanterns you can see here were her idea.
I think the image speaks for itself.
You can see all my images from the event here.
What a day for protest: massive demonstration against the cuts in London and gatherings against hate crime both on the same day.
