Nice light fittings

Went to the Voodoo Rooms today for lunch, to meet up with an old friend who was visiting town. The venue is very sumptuous - a massive change from when it used to be upstairs at the Cafe Royal.

Later went along to the cinema to see Milk - the story of California's first openly gay elected official, Harvey Milk, a San Francisco supervisor who was assassinated. I'm thankful there are people like him in the world who will stand up for their rights and motivate others to do the same.
