Baltic and Laing

Third day in Newcastle and two galleries visited- the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Arts and the Laing Art Gallery. Two very different kinds of galleries, the Baltic focused on a lot of new and conceptual artists and was a very open and clean space while the Laing Gallery had a rather more grand and antiquated design, matched by the collection of paintings that included some pre-Raphaelite artworks that I know recognise because of contextual studies.
