Port Appin industry...
If Port Appin ever bustled it might have looked like this. The Easdale Bus awaits passengers from the ferry whilst BRS Scotland unloads a cargo of steel for a project on the island. A Commer cattle lorry disembarks from MV Eigg, the reason she has a high wheelhouse is so that the skipper can see over the roofs of tall vehicles. If you look at the right of the model you can see the Eigg wheelhouse. The rest of the Island Class had lower structures, coming roughly to the top of the cattle lorry. They're all withdrawn now but the last I heard both MV Eigg and MV Raasay (recently off Tobermory - Kilchoan service ) are berthed at Sandbanks in Holy Loch awaiting buyers.
There is a bit of artist's licence used on the Port Appin dioramas but boats, buses lorries and buildings are all modelled on the real thing. They may not have ever appeared together before but that's my choice. You have to remember this Port Appin is a fictional location!
