Colchicum cupanii

A species found in the wild around the Mediterranean from France to Greece, Colchicum cupanii is one of the smaller colchicum. This form from the south of France is an excellent garden plant here, flowering neatly with its leaves in autumn. These were some spare bulbs planted out a few years ago, they have come through some harsh winter weather while the ones I kept in a pot were killed by the -17C freeze two years ago. It is always a good thing to spread special plants around :)

A Dad and the girls day as Jacinta was away making sweet music with EROS ... (not what you think!) ... playing in a Recorder Orchestra. At home we bought and did crafty things, gardened, laundered, cooked and did tie dying. Never a dull moment!
