Training Programme
Ever since the price of petrol overtook pure grade heroin, I've been hanging about train stations a lot more.
After doing a couple of hours work this morning at the Big Red Shed, I took the train from Exhibition Centre to Central Station. On the east-bound platform, this art installation depicts Glasgow industry throughout the ages. It has a very 1980's feel to it and the dismal concrete backdrop and overgrown weeds add to the dated look - unfortunately this is not a deliberate ironic look back - it has just been neglected over the years.
I took the image using the panoramic feature on the iPhone. It produced a very distorted "fish-eye" image so I had to spend quite some time re-distorting it on photo-shop to pull it back into some kind of normal perspective.
