Selfie-satisfied

The things people do. OK there was not an immediate drop on the other side of this fence but the ground was hard packed ice polished by the wind and sloped away steeply to a massive drop a short distance away.

Another clear day with no wind. So much so I was able to walk around most of the time without a hat and my thick gloves.

The weather made it postcard perfect and we spent several hours at the top where the cable car -  or Felsheisen - arrived (fortuity with care/ restaurant). The changing light meant that I was taking photographs all the time so this evening's task of winnowing them down has been all the harder.

We later visited the Arctic Cathedral before heading back for some rest then a meal.  Given the day treated ourselves to wine (££).  We hope to attend a music event at the cathedral before leaving so may blip that then.

Two extras.  The first seems in preview to be on its side but is one of the most spectacular views from a gents toilet window that I've ever seen.  

The second is the postcard view from the top which lost out to the selfie character.
