My Funny Valentines...
Ever since I resolved to be in the pool for an hour every morning from 7.30am, there's been technical problems with it. Typical!
Thankfully the pool company are very good at responding to reports of faults but they've been out three times now and I am getting a little impatient, mainly because it affects Alan's opportunities to get in the pool too.
The engineer was back out this morning and discovered a valve (technical term ;-) had been left open, causing the water level to drop. It has now been closed so hopefully that's the end of the issues and the pool will be back in business by the weekend (needs time to top up and get to temperature).
Had a first with Lola today. She found her way into our bedroom. David was downstairs and thought she was with Alan but she had sneaked upstairs and into our room. I didn't hear her come in and was just finished getting dressed when she jumped up on the bed beside me and gave me the fright of my life! I must admit I didn't tell her to get off immediately, and sneaked a cuddle with her till David realised she was AWOL and came to get her.
Managed to persuade David and Lola to pose for me for Valentine's Day (Alan refused :-) I'm not fan of the commercialism of Valentine's Day but Alan did get three and he's very chuffed. He says they're from Tess Daly!
I am very lucky to have a husband who buys me flowers, makes delicious dinners, rubs my sore feet, and makes me feel loved 365 days a year so no need for cards, but we still do it because it makes us laugh.
We've had a lovely dinner (for no other reason than it's Wednesday) and about to settle down and watch a film. That will be the cue for Lola to have a mad half hour jumping about and doing all the things she knows she's not allowed to do. Happens every time she sees us settled! What a girl!
