Treasures Of The Hermitage.

Visited the fascinating Catherine The Great exhibition on it's penultimate day at the National Museum of Scotland.

With articles rarely seen outside Russia, a rich collection of remarkable artefacts on loan from The Hermitage in Saint Petersburg illustrated the amazing life of the Eighteenth Century Russian Empress who sought to modernise her coutry with enlightened ideas of economics and culture, whilst expanding her borders in succesful military campaigns against the Ottoman Empire.
