Floods on the Axe

I seem to be blipping a day adrift at the moment, this is the River Axe flooding  its bank near Colyford,  caused by heavy rain and high tide. No damage caused to property or animals and it will soon subside. 
We have had the family here helping us to clear out the loft because it need to be done and Mrs M and I are both fast approaching the time when we  will not be able to climb up there with the family not being handy to help. Things have been distributed other sent for sale and other items stored in accessible places. We and them will feel happier that the accident waiting to happen has been avoided.
