Solitary daffodil

The first daffodil to flower in the garden. It is pushing up through the shingle. Perhaps it thinks it is Spring, although I fail to see how. Today there has been a bitterly cold wind and heavy rain. I drove through a snow blizzard on the A20 near Brands Hatch. This particular area seems to have its own weather pattern and the snow often settles there longer than some nearby places.
