Norfolk Pine Cones

In a few weeks we shall move into our new home..... (getting excited).
We have three Norfolk pines in the garden (apparently they are conifers but not real pines ???). The council are very fond of these trees and resist any application to have them removed.
From time to time they drop cones...these are not small light brown fir cones but large viscously sharp1 kilo balls of spikes. I may have to invest in a helmet!
