Tickets Please

Today should have been my day off but I agreed to work knowing Half Term Week was going to be very busy.

And today, we took a trip on the Bluebell Railway from East Grinstead to Sheffield Park and Back. Its a tough job, but someones got to do it!

Its so hard though, remembering you are not there to stop and take pictures - as Blippers do - but instead stay close to your 'Subject' and go where ever they go - even if they choose not to stand on the bridge and watch the steam train pass under you!

Unfortunately the train broke down for a while in Sheffield Park. This became apparent when we had been stationary for an extra 20 minutes and an engineer walked past with a large pipe that looked like it belonged to the train. It was also a bit of a give away when another passenger who was very clearly a train enthusiast (and wore an anorak!) took great joy in telling everyone exactly what the part was and where it should have been!!!! So I'm glad they had fun!

It was so cold it put me right off going swimming so stayed in and made soup. And did you know pearl barley takes 1 hour 15 minutes to cook!
