Spots galore
Many thanks for all the good wishes yesterday and also for all the stars and hearts.
We had a quiet morning by the pool and I felt refreshed enough to go out on the sunset drive. We hadn’t got far into the reserve when someone spotted a leopard on a slight mound about a quarter of a mile away. Unfortunately this is as close a shot as I could get with my lens, but I liked the look between mother and cub.
The extras are of an extrovert hippo which put on quite a show for us, including floating on its back, but I liked the shot of his tonsils.
Tomorrow we have to get up at 4.15 a.m. for a 6 hour drive back to Johannesburg and a flight down to Port Elizabeth for the next part of our adventure.
