Kaikoura Seal

After yesterday's torrential rain, we woke to a warm, sunny morning, perfect for travelling home.

We stopped at Kaikoura for lunch, and had a wander around the shops. We went for a drive by the ocean before we left, and walked over the exposed rock, which I believe has come about as a result of the recent earthquake there.
This seal was sunning itself, to the delight of the many tourists who were there.

We're home now, and it was wonderful to see the fur children. I brought some of the golden sand from Totaranui home for Pippysue to dip her toe beans in, she thought it was great!
