Baby roo

It’s sad to know that often when female kangaroos are killed (generally out on the roads through the night) that there might be a baby in her pouch which could remain alive up to 3 - 4 days post mum’s death. If the pouch goes unchecked the baby will also die. People are encouraged to check mum’s pouch and to take the baby to the nearest town, wrapped in a pillow case or such like (mimicking the mother’s pouch) with a view that they are very much saveable.

This cheeky chappy is currently content in his pillowcase and getting stronger each day.
