Snowy Tarn Hows

Our club training took place in rather challenging conditions today. We arrived to find the road to Tarn Hows covered in snow and the organisers diverting cars down to the lower car park off the Coniston to Ambleside road. There was not enough space for the cars and minibuses to park. Having found a parking space we then had a climb up to the area designated for training.

It was extremely wet and slippery underfoot but we still were determined to have a go at the courses. One course hot soup and sandwiches later I went out again. However the conditions took its toll and I decided to drop down to the Lakes and take a few photos.

Rather glad to get back to our accommodation for a hot shower and hot meal. Lots of fun and games later. So good to meet more club members.
