Head Turner

Swinging his head round, eyes on stalks, 'WOW, wow, that was speedy!' I heard Disney Dipper exclaim, bouncing on a branch as the contestants flew past like lightening. He just couldn't contain his excitement at getting a last minute ticket to the kingfisher relay taking place in his home town deep in the forest.

The Dipper clan all spread out at low vantage points up the river, got by far the closest views today of the action here at the AOG. The nuthatch families, all bringing packed lunches (secreted in the trees as they were here for the day) watched with glee from the branches, bounding around to get the best aerial viewpoint. Team Kingfisher, all proudly sporting colourful new kit have got off to a flying start on the river in the prelims but Disney a big DD supporter (Dabbling Dipper) is hoping that the home team will take home the medals!
